Dentist interviewed by Marketplace
A Red Deer dentist with a knack for attracting media attention will likely be on national TV this Friday.
Dr. Michael Zuk was recently interviewed by CBC’s Marketplace as part of an investigation it was doing into cosmetic dentistry in Canada. The consumer advocacy program even sent a film crew to his Red Deer office.
Zuk has been an outspoken critic of cosmetic dentistry procedures, and even published a book called Confessions of a Former Cosmetic Dentist.
He said he couldn’t comment on the Marketplace program or what he was asked about until after the episode runs.
Zuk has also earned headlines for his collection of celebrity teeth. These include a broken porcelain tooth that belonged to Elvis Presley and a rotted tooth that was once extracted from John Lennon’s mouth.
Marketplace airs Fridays at 8 p.m.
