Kelsey’s Restaurant ceases operation
South Red Deer has lost one of its longest-serving restaurants.
Kelsey’s Restaurant ceased operations on Sept. 28. Although the furniture and fixtures at its 1935 Gaetz Ave. premises remains, exterior signage has been removed.
A note on the locked doors thanks customers for their patronage and urges them to go instead to Montana’s Cookhouse Saloon or Swiss Chalet. Both of those restaurants belong to the same franchise group as Kelsey’s: Cara Operations Ltd.
Calls to Cara on Tuesday were not immediately returned.
Kelsey’s had operated in Red Deer for 15 years.
