Left, or right?

Red Deer County peace officer Bob Marsh misses the irony in an advertising sign’s message while directing traffic at the Hwy 11 and Burnt Lake Trail intersection Wednesday.

An electronic failure caused the traffic lights to flash red and yellow, forcing peace officers to stop left turns off Hwy 11 and to manually control traffic until Alberta Highway Services could solve the problem.

County officials were hoping to have the situation resolved before the after work drive began at the busy crossroads.
