Ready to roll
The annual Rimbey Sleigh, Wagon and Saddle Club cutter parade drew 37 entries on the weekend.
The families taking part showed off sleighs pulled by horses, miniature horses, mules and donkeys, and a pair of hinnies. The warm weather meant the parade drew plenty of onlookers.
Among the most appreciated of rigs was the Foss Irwin outfit from Wetaskiwin, complete with a four-up hitch of black and white horses. In the photo, the lead pair are biting on their bits ready to go, with their driver in position.
Entries also included Allen Weinhandc of Hobbema with his caboose sleigh, complete with stove.
Drivers were only too pleased to stop or slow their rigs for picture-takers along the route.
