Aspire Special Needs Resource Centre presented the 23rd annual Evening of Decadent Dessert, our biggest fundraiser, on Friday, May 12. The event was a great success thanks to the generous Central Alberta community.
Funds raised from this event go to support Aspire programs, specialized equipment, and fee assistance for families.
Over 525 guests enjoyed dinner, raffles, entertainment and a live auction of spectacular cakes. The evening always closes with a dessert buffet of treats provided by local bakers.
“The cakes this year were incredible, all donated to Aspire by talented bakers in Red Deer & area,” said Michelle Moore, board of directors chair.
“Thanks to generous guests, donors, and sponsors, we were able to raise money; tell the story of Aspire through our theme of Celebrating Exceptional Children,” said Moore. “Of course, the night wouldn’t be possible without our team of more than 70 loyal volunteers.”
