10th anniversary of Adam Helps the House benefit concert takes place April 5

The Ronald McDonald House of Central Alberta is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Adam Helps the House benefit concert next month.

The annual fundraiser with country star Adam Gregory, originally from Edmonton, will take place on April 5 at the Black Knight Inn in Red Deer at 6 p.m.

The concert originally began to help raise money to open a Ronald McDonald House in Red Deer. After that became a reality, the concert now raises funds to help with the operating costs of the house. Last year, the event raised roughly $18,000 and they hope to surpass that this year, said longtime organizer Cathy McKechnie.

The show will feature not only multiple Canadian Country Music award winner Gregory, known for his hits Only Know I Do, Get It On and One Breath from a Heartache, but also the local classic rock and blues band Flyer, made up of former members of the band In Transit.

Tickets are $130 per person. For tickets, visit
