Artist bringing ‘vibrant’ watercolors for show, sale

A Salt Spring Island artist is bringing her “vibrant” watercolours to Red Deer for a one-day show and sale on Tuesday.

Jill Louise Campbell will be displaying paintings that were inspired by her travels at the Red Deer Lodge from noon to 8 p.m.

The works include images from Italy, France, India, Tibet, Western Canada and the U.S., and also from the B.C. artist’s imagination.

Campbell used a combination of gouache, watercolour and mixed media to create colourful, whimsical paintings that “express her love of life and the Earth.”

In addition to her various sized canvases, Campbell will offer calendars and art cards for sale.
