Bieber working on new album, ‘Believe’
TORONTO — Beliebers, have faith: Justin Bieber says work has begun in earnest on his next album.
The 17-year-old from Stratford, Ont., tweeted Tuesday that he was starting full-time recording work on a new album he’s been referring to as Believe.
“Let the fun begin!” Bieber tweeted.
The record is expected out later this year.
Bieber released his debut full-length My World 2.0 in 2010, with the record reaching multi-platinum certification in Canada and the U.S.
His recent Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, was similarly popular, selling platinum three times over in Canada, where it debuted at No. 1 on the chart.
Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, managed to stir Bieber’s famously dedicated fans into even more of a frenzy early Wednesday morning with another tweet hyping Bieber’s new material.
“Wow!! In the studio with (Bieber) and Believe is going to be ridiculous!!!” he wrote.
But fans needn’t worry that Bieber is focusing too much on work. He also announced early Wednesday that he was headed to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
“Gonna see what is coming next. gadgetNERD,” he tweeted.
