Festival names headliners
Filling the hard rock/heavy metal gap left by the departure of Boonstock to B.C., the Tail Creek Mud and Music Festival announced its presence in a big way with headliners Korn, Five Finger Death Punch and Theory of a Deadman.
The festival scheduled for June 27 to 29 features a mix of heavy metal, hard rock and some well known DJs set to take the stage west of Alix.
The all-ages event will feature music and off-roading events, including mudbogging.
The Tail Creek Raceway, a family operated motorsports facility since the 1960s, is located near the intersection of Hwys 12 and 21 just east of Alix.
Other acts include Killswitch Engage, One Bad Son, The Crystal Method, The Road Hammers and Filter.
Three-day passes are $170 and camping passes cost $65. There are VIP options of $270 for shorter lineups and $100 for a larger campsite. Single day tickets will also be available.
The Lacombe County municipal planning commission approved the festival on numerous conditions including adequate parking, security, medical aid, traffic control and cleanup. For more information visit www.tailcreek.ca.
