Local writer has spy short story published as part of anthology

A Red Deer resident has had a short story about the life and times of a fictitious spy recently published in a new espionage anthology.

Tim Lasiuta writes about Jonesy S. Nottingham, a comic book artist, secret agent and everyday father in Covert Ops: Gemini, published by Pro Se Productions.

The eBook, available on Amazon.com, was released at the end of January.

One of three stories in the book, Lasiuta’s portion delves into Nottingham’s deadly journey to protect the mayor of New York City, as well as the American president, from an armed revolutionary.

Lasiuta, a reporter for the Innisfail Province, has contributed numerous fiction pieces to Moonstone Books, including ones in the Zorro, Captain Midnight and Green Hornet anthologies. He also writes for True West magazine, Mad Magazine and the Comic Buyers Guide.
