Loosen up your shoulders and hips and get ready for some salsa, meringue, bachata and other Latin dances.
Festive local band Grupo Konga will perform at a “cinco de Mayo” dance on Friday in Red Deer.
The “100 per cent local” band will strike up the horns and percussion instruments from 9 p.m. at The Vat. Grupo Konga’s vocalist, Vinicio Blanco, expects to put on a great party, noting that DJ Warlex will also be spinning some Latin dance tunes.
Tickets are $10 in advance from A Buck or Two Store, next to Petland in the Chapters commercial strip, or $15 at the door.
