Corb Lund coming in November

Alberta’s favourite alternative country singer, Corb Lund, is coming to Red Deer in November.

Tickets for Lund’s concert on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the Centrium, with special guest Ridley Bent, go on sale Friday morning at Ticketmaster.

Lund has been the Canadian Country Music Association’s Roots Artist of the Year for the last five years, and won a Juno Award for his 2006 album Hair in My Eyes Like a Highland Steer.

The singer, best known for his 2007 hit Horse Soldier, Horse Soldier!, has a new album out called Losin’ Lately Gambler.

He will be backed in concert by his longtime band the Hurtin’ Albertans: bassist Kurt Ciesla, drummer Brady Valgardson and guitarist/banjoist Grant Siemens.

Tickets to the 7:30 p.m. concert are $35, or $25, plus service charges, from Ticketmaster.
