RDC Theatre grads are presenting Solo Flight

These 15 short one-person plays will showcase acting diversity

Graduates of Red Deer College’s Theatre program are ready to fly solo.

After 1,000 hours of classroom and studio time, the students are set to show their stuff in Solo Flight — a performance of 15 six-minute one-person shows on Friday in Studio A of the RDC Arts Centre.

Each scene will be created and performed by one graduating student, who will portray multiple characters of various ages and genders. This means the graduates will displaying the most physical and vocal transformations seen all season. “Each minute of the six-minute (plays) represents dozens and dozens of rehearsal hours,” say the show’s producers.

Admission to the 7:30 p.m. presentation is by donation.
