Recently, I had to turn down an opportunity to help facilitate the Red Deer civic election because I could not be assured that my co-workers would be required to be fully vaccinated. I was told it was a privacy issue.

I see the winds of change on the political horizon. A storm is brewing. It does not look good for Premier Jason Kenney and his UCP government. They have lost the moral compass to govern our province. Along with political power comes a moral obligation to do no harm and to act in the best interests of all Albertans.

Kudos to Bill Brown for the Stop throwing money at problem letter published on Sept. 24 in the Advocate for stating something that a lot of the rest of us only dare to think: ie, that the anti-vaxxers should go to the back of the line, when it comes to hospital admissions.

Our premier says what he does on his vacation time is private. I disagree. Jason Kenney is a public figure employed by the people of our province and if he chose to leave Alberta we have a right to know. What exposure did he get to COVID on his travels? On this “private” time did he and his party use a government plane?
