We are all tired of COVID, but I understand the need to go back to the masks.

Letter: Worst is yet to come with COVID-19

Since my first letter concerning Red Deer College Polytechnic merely following the guidelines of the Alberta government with respect to COVID measures, I see where face coverings are now going to be required in all learning spaces (classrooms, labs, studios and shops) with a couple of exceptions.

Letter: An apology would’ve saved $20K

I once read a story about a man that went to sleep one night and awoke the next morning in another world. This was brought to mind when I read the local news in brief article Red Deer Coun. Buck Buchanan enters mayor’s race in the Advocate on Aug. 28.

Letter: Gardening project a huge success in Red Deer

We would like to pass on our appreciation to the Bower Place Community Association for providing and organizing the garden plots this year. Also thanks to Enviro Containers & Recycling Solutions from Innisfail for providing the water tank and the City of Red Deer for continuously keeping the tank filled with water. It was a great summer to be out gardening and we consider the project a real success.

Letter: Liberal government picking on seniors

My story begins on July 28, 2021. That is the day I checked to see if my pension cheque had come in and it had. However, I couldn’t believe it as it gone down from $1204.16 to $658 a month. Desperate, I finally got a hold of the government, I was told because I took CERB and received money from them, my total earnings for the year was $18,859 for the year of 2020 and that the government took part of the subsidy away from me.
Letter: Canadian journalism matters

Letter: Canadian journalism matters

Letter: Alberta’s decision to lift restrictions was reckless

Over the past month the Alberta government has announced the ending of nearly every COVID-19 public health measure including the so called TTI measures (test, trace and isolate). This plan recklessly endangers the lives of 660,000 children in Alberta who are unvaccinated.

Letter: Don’t wait any longer to get vaccinated

For those who have not yet been vaccinated – I have one question – What are you waiting for?
