A shout out to the best neighbours

Today, after almost four years of living in Clearview Meadows on Cardinal Avenue in Red Deer, I got to thinking I have great neighbours to my left, right, across the street and behind me.

I wanted to submit this positive written standing ovation to all of my neighbours.

I have had the most pleasant neighbours, whom my family has been constantly testing their limit of neighbourly courtesy.

Out of my unit comes the following: sounds of my rambunctious autistic toddler; my inability to shovel snow on our communal walk; and my loud voice some odd 18 hours a day for three years straight.

I have never met any of my neighbours.

I have never received a complaint after my son’s six-hour banging sessions.

I have never heard any negative feedback from them, though I have always worried for their sanity (as well as my own) on the late/loud days.

I wanted to say “Thank-You” and “I am always thinking of how very blessed my special needs toddler and I are to be surrounded by compassionate, understanding and patient people and their families.”

I hope you all read this on Cardinal Avenue.

Also to all the neighbours who continue to be helpful and understanding here in Red Deer, thank you!

As a result of your great works, we can love our homes, communities and city a great deal more.

Great neighbours help make any house feel like home!
