Leaders show lack of respect at Games

I watched the opening of the Olympics and felt proud of our Canadians and all the other contestants, but I felt sad and disgusted at the lack of any of the leaders of the world for not being present.

We expect our young people to give their all for their country, and not to have a representative from their country greet them because they felt slighted by the host country is acting a lot like spoiled children.

The Olympics is about competing in fair competition without prejudice. So maybe our leaders in question should grow up and lead by example, instead of like a bunch of soiled children.

Good luck to all the athletes at the games.
