Thanks for help when car quit

On Friday, Dec. 27, I was driving home from work and at the Taylor Drive and 32nd Street intersection my car just stopped and refused to go any further.

You should know that I am a senior and such an event, especially during a snowstorm, can be very stressful.

I was barely out of my car when a young couple stopped and asked me if I needed any help.

Before I could say anything, they had me warming up in their car and the young woman was calling AMA for a tow.

The young man was a mechanic and informed me that my car couldn’t be driven due to a leak in transmission fluid.

Soon the tow truck arrived and the young couple made sure that I got home safely.

What could have turned into an long ordeal was dealt with within an hour and I was safe at home.

I forgot the name of the young couple who came to my rescue but I do remember them saying the were members of CrossRoads Church.

I hope they read this letter or someone else brings it to their attention.

I am so thankful that they took the time to help me. I am always amazed by the kindness of strangers, especially during the busy Christmas season.
