Warm feelings at clothing bank

Recently the Red Deer Clothing Bank benefited from the generosity of people in Red Deer with donations of time and goods.

The United Way matched our organization with Nova Chemicals and the Servus Credit Union and these companies sent employees to volunteer and work with us for a day. Extra hands are always appreciated.

An Alberta Health Services employee at Johnston Crossing Health Centre challenged coworkers in September to collect socks, and 1,500 pairs were delivered to us. We never have enough good socks and these will make many people happy.

A further thank you to the people who give winter coats to the Coats for Kids program as these coats come to us.

Thanks to everyone who makes donations to the clothing bank.

Shirley Berry

President
