Red Deer RCMP have ruled the death of a man found near the banks of the Red Deer river as non-suspicious.

Around 4:30 p.m., on Monday a person walking by on the path nearby discovered the body of a deceased 36 year old male near the Water Treatment Plant. Police ruled the death as non-suspicious and will not be releasing any further details.

Next of kin have been notified. RCMP are not releasing the name our of respect for the privacy of the family.
