Lindsay Thurber is inviting female athletes to come out for an afternoon of empowerment, fun and networking through the Fast and Female Champ Chat.
On May 13, Fast and Female athlete ambassadors Tricia Oshiro, Melissa Lowe and Erin Yungblut, who are all members of Canada’s National Team, will lead a three hour program that includes inspirational talks, a physical activity circuit, a yoga session, fun giveaways, and the opportunity to meet other female athletes.
Fast and Female, which was started in 2005 with the vision province a positive and empowering environment for girls in sport, hosts fun, non competitive events all over North America. Athlete ambassadors work with girls eight to 10 to inspire and motivate them to stay hooked on sports and active throughout their lives.
The Fast and Female Champ Chat is being held at Lindsay Thurber School on May 13, at 1:3o - 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 and included a t-shirt and poster.
