Mayor's Garden Party on June 4 in Red Deer

The 50th annual Mayor's Garden Party in Red Deer will be celebrated indoors at Westerner Park. Senior Red Deerians are invited to "a delightful celebration filled with nostalgia, camaraderie and live music by the Memphis Mafia Band."

The 50th annual Mayor's Garden Party in Red Deer will be celebrated indoors at Westerner Park.

Senior Red Deerians are invited to "a delightful indoor celebration filled with nostalgia, camaraderie and live music by the Memphis Mafia Band."

The event will be held on Tuesday, June 4, from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Harvest Centre, Westerner Park and it will feature refreshments served by members of City Council.

Free parking is available at Westerner Park, as well as free shuttle service between Sorensen Station and Westerner Park. Shuttles will depart from Sorensen Station at 1:30 p.m. and will depart from the Harvest Centre at 4 p.m. for return to Sorensen Station.

“Get ready to twist and shout at the Mayor’s Garden Party 50th Anniversary,” said Mayor Ken Johnston.

“Expect toe-tapping tunes from the golden era, delicious refreshments and live entertainment that will whisk you back in time. From jitterbugging to hula hooping, there's something for everyone to enjoy! So, dust off your poodle skirts, slick back your hair, and let's make some memories together at the 50th Anniversary of the Mayor’s Garden Party!”
