A partnership with the 2024 CPKC Women’s Open could potentially result in the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation receiving up to $250k in matching donations.

The annual Canadian women’s open national golf tournament is set to be hosted in Calgary from July 23-28 at the Earl Grey Golf Club.

The health foundation was named a community partner in the event, and its title sponsor, CPKC, will also match donations made through the Red Deer Hospital Lottery on May 6, May 27, June 16 and June 17.

“The combined efforts of the Foundation and CPKC, fueled by the generosity of Central Albertans, will result in enhancements to Red Deer Hospital’s cardiology department and improvement to the heart health of our community,” said Manon Therriault, Red Deer Regional Health Foundation Chief Executive Officer.

A CPKC Women’s Open ProAm auction will appeal to golf enthusiasts who want to participate in the CPKC Women’s Open alongside a pro golfer.

CPKC’s community investment program CPKC Has Heart has raised over $41.5 million to improve the heart health of adults and children in communities across North America.

Central Albertans can also host their own fundraisers to be matched by CPKC. For information on submitting your own fundraiser for consideration, contact the Foundation at 403-343-4773 or foundation@ahs.ca.

“Red Deer Regional Health Foundation provides critical care and support for people in Central Alberta, including many CPKC employees and their families,” said Chad Becker, CPKC Chief of Staff.

“CPKC is thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the critical work they do and work with the Foundation for the 2024 CPKC Women’s Open.”
