21 stolen vehicles and 10 firearms recovered in Central Alberta

Red Deer RCMP recovered 21 stolen vehicles, including motorcycles, dirt bikes, trailers, trucks, SUV’s and a boat, along with 10 firearms last week.

Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team seized the vehicles and guns while executing a search warrant at a Clearwater County property.

Heidi Ravenhill, in a statement.

The search warrant was executed on April 10 as part of ongoing property crime investigations within the city of Red Deer. Red Deer Crime Reduction Team received assistance from the Emergency Response Team, Central Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, Auto Theft South, and members of Rocky Mountain House RCMP.

A 41-year-old man, of Clearwater County, was charged with four counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, five counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, weapon possession obtained by crime, and failing to comply with probation order.

He was released on a release order and scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Rocky Mountain House on May 1.

A 35-year-old woman, of Rocky Mountain House, was charged with four counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, five counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and weapon possession obtained by crime.

She was remanded into custody, and is also scheduled to appear in court in Rocky Mountain House on May 1.
