Freezing rain warning in effect for Red Deer and area
A low pressure disturbance will track quickly across Alberta overnight and throughout the day on Wednesday.
Precipitation west and south of the low along a cold front is expected to produce freezing rain in the areas of Red Deer, Ponoka, Innisfail and Stettler.
Freezing rain will begin over western sections of the province early in the morning and then move eastward.
Conditions are expected to improve in the afternoon as the air mass cools and the precipitation changes to snow.
Tonight's forecast calls for periods of freezing rain beginning after midnight with a low of -2 C. Fog patches may develop after midnight.
