Municipal heritage award set up
Reward a municipality for preserving its heritage by nominating it for the Prince of Wales Prize for Municipal Heritage Leadership.
The Heritage Canada Foundation is now accepting nominations for the Prince of Wales Prize for Municipal Heritage Leadership.
Any municipal government, large or small, rural or urban, can be nominated so long as it has a record of supporting heritage preservation through such means as regulation, policies, funding and exemplary stewardship.
The foundation is a national registered charity dedicated to preserving Canada’s historic places.
Criteria for the award are available online at www.heritagecanada.org.
The deadline for nominations is Feb. 28, 2013.
