Premier Redford becoming a regular no-show in legislature question period
EDMONTON — Alberta Premier Alison Redford has become a regular no-show during legislature question period.
Redford has attended question period only twice in the last two weeks as she deals with members of her caucus quitting or openly questioning her leadership.
Redford also hasn’t spoken with media since she announced on the weekend that she would be given a new work plan from the Progressive Conservative party executive.
Opposition leaders say if Redford wants to earn back the trust of Albertans, she has to first show up for work.
Deputy premier Dave Hancock says Redford is working for Albertans.
In recent days Redford has given a speech to rural politicians, raised a flag for the Ukraine and welcomed troops home from Afghanistan.
