RCMP trying to locate a 13-year-old Aboriginal girl

Red Deer RCMP request public assistance to help locate a 13-year-old Aboriginal girl who has been missing for nine days.

Nakayo Poucette was last seen walking south from the Collicutt Centre in south east Red Deer at 7 p.m. on June 14.

Police believe she may be trying to travel to Morley, Alberta; but police checks throughout Red Deer, Cochrane and Morley have not located the girl.

Poucette is described at 1.6 metres tall (5 feet, 4 inches), 59 kg (130 pounds); with brown eyes and long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a blue sweater, black pants and blue shoes.

No photo of Poucette is available at this time.

Anyone with information about the missing girl is asked to contact Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575.
