Rec Centre maintenance coming
Red Deer’s Recreation Centre will be closed for almost a month as regular scheduled maintenance gets underway.
From Monday until Jan. 2, the Rec Centre at 4501 47A Ave. will be closed for its annual maintenance.
The centre’s administration office will maintain regular hours of operation and cashiers will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday for registrations and inquiries.
The shutdown allows staff the opportunity to conduct a thorough inspection and maintenance on all equipment and technical systems of the entire facility.
Scheduled drop-in activities will resume on Jan. 2.
During the shutdown, users are reminded that their passes also provide them access to the Michener Centre, at 51A Street and 38th Avenue.
All other city recreation facilities will remain open during this time.
