Red Deer hit-and-run victim treated for injuries
A female hit-and-run victim was taken to hospital on Friday night after being struck by a vehicle on Taylor Drive.
At about 10:15 p.m., Red Deer RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck in the northbound lanes of Taylor Drive near Hamilton Drive.
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She was treated and later released from the hospital.
The suspect vehicle did not slow down when contact was made with the pedestrian and continued to travel north, turning onto 67th Street. The suspect vehicle is believed to be an older-model car.
The pedestrian was crossing at a marked crosswalk with the light illuminated warning motorists the crosswalk was in use.
