Red Deer to ring in 2013 with fireworks

A musical fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. at Bower Ponds in Red Deer.

A special New Year's Eve event will take place at Bower Ponds in Red Deer on Monday evening.

Beginning at 6 p.m. the family-oriented event will include skating, music, cake and beverages.

A musical fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

Free glowsticks and temporary tattoos will also be available.

Environment Canada forecasts favourable weather for this evening with a low of -8C.
