Woman hurt in highway rollover
A woman was taken to hospital after the car she was driving rolled on Hwy 595, near Range Road 252, shortly before 8 p.m. Monday.
Pete Barron, a platoon chief with Red Deer Emergency Services, said it looked like the woman was heading west, went into the ditch and hit an approach.
The car went airborne, taking out the top wire of a barbed wire fence, landing upside down in a pasture.
There were no other vehicles involved.
He said the woman was trapped, but only appeared to have minor injuries once they got her out of the vehicle.
She was taken to hospital as a precaution.
