Arson charge laid in Ponoka fire

A man has been charged with arson after a small fire at a Ponoka apartment complex earlier this month.

The May 1 fire happened about 11 p.m. and forced the evacuation of several residents from the Rex Manor apartment complex. No one was injured in the blaze.

A 39-year-old man has been charged with arson and mischief and is due to appear in Westaskiwin provincial court on May 23.
