Blackfalds RCMP release photos from January armed robbery

Blackfalds Mounties have released photos they hope will help identify the two suspects in a January armed robbery of a gas station.

On Jan. 5 at 6:40 a.m., Police were called to the Blackfalds Co-op Gas Bar to a reported armed robbery.

Two male suspects entered the store with long barrel firearms and pointed them at store employees, police said. They demanded cash and cigarettes.

According to police, the suspects left with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes. They fled the scene in a dark grey four-door sedan and were last seen heading northbound on Broadway Avenue in Blackfalds.

Police describe the first suspect as a male between the ages of 12 and 16, he had a slim build and wore a red hoodie with an emblem on it of a deer.

The second suspect is described as a male between the ages of 17 and 19, he had a slim build and wore a black Canada Goose jacket with a fur hood and a black balaclava.
