About 16 properties near downtown Red Deer are under a boil water advisory issued Saturday afternoon.
The City issued the advisory to the properties in the 5300 block of 44th Avenue at about 2:15 p.m.
According to the city, the adivsories are issued with there is suspected harmful microbes in the water supply. Homes and businesses in the area recieved door-to-door notifications.
The advisory will remain in place until tests confirm there is no contamination. When the advisory is lifted, new notices will be hand delivered again.
