Social media reports confirm a business break and enter in Red Deer over the weekend.
Al’s Sewing Machine Repair located on 49th Avenue posted on its Facebook page about the break-in.
“My store was broken into last night. Sad Day today,” states one of the Facebook post.
The post also confirms the theft has been reported to the RCMP.
“There were five machines and one EMB unit stolen along with a BSR (Bernina stitch regulator) still attached to a Bernina 570 machine,” the Facebook post notes.
A couple machines were damaged, one Facebook post states.
“There were a couple of machines damaged in the process – parts in front of the store door – couple damaged units in the store,” it states.
