Red Deer &District Chamber of Commerce recognized local businesses at the 35th annual Business Awards gala on Wednesday.
About 300 business leaders celebrated the success of four award recipients:
l Jo(e) Social Media was named Business of the Year with one to 10 employees.
l Red Deer Rebels was Business of the Year with 11 to 20 employees.
l Paul Davis Red Deer was Business of the Year with 21 or more employees.
l Empringham Disposal Corp. received the Young Entrepreneur Award.
Business of the Year Awards are organized by the Chamber of Commerce and held annually in conjunction with BDC’s Small Business Week.
All companies, Chamber members and non-Chamber members are eligible to be nominated for an award. Finalists in each of the four categories are selected by an independent judging panel.
Red Deer &District Chamber of Commerce has more than 900 members and promotes business growth and prosperity through leadership and innovation in the Red Deer area.
