EDMONTON — An investigation is underway into what Edmonton police are calling the suspicious death of a child.
A witness says paramedics took what is believed to be an infant from a west-end apartment block Wednesday afternoon.
Two women were also seen being escorted from the block, but no one is in custody.
Police have not confirmed the age or gender of the child.
Acting police Insp. Erik Johnson says it’s early in the investigation and the details of what happened are not clear.
An autopsy is expected.
