A frost advisory is in effect for parts of Central Alberta, including Red Deer.

The warning from Environment Canada is valid early on Sunday morning from 12:50 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.

Some plants may be damaged or even destroyed by the frost. It’s recommended that plants are to be covered up, especially those in frost-prone areas.

Other affected areas include Lacombe, Rocky Mountain House and Stettler.
