Half a dozen Red Deer community garden plots still available

Red Deer community gardens still have a few plots available for anyone with a last minute green thumb itch.

Six garden plots are still available at the Parkside Gardens, 5320 67th St., as prime growing season kicks into high gear.

Anyone interested in trying out a garden plot can contact Nichole at 403-342-8303 to purchase a plot. Plots range in price from $16 for a 30 square metre plot, $28 for a 60 square metre plot and $45 for a 120 square metre plot.

Red Deer runs community garden plots in four locations around the city including Parkside Gardens, Piper Creek Gardens (1709 40th Ave.), Michener Gardens (3809 55th St.) and Twin Spruce Gardens (southwest corner of 30th Avenue and 19th Street).
