Lacombe sees more thefts from garages and sheds

Residents reminded to be lock up

Lacombe Police Service warn that thefts from residential storage sheds and garages are on the rise.

Police said thefts are occurring in different areas of the city and at different times throughout the day and night. In some cases large items are being stolen indicating that a vehicle is being used to commit some of these offences.

Police recommend residents ensure that doors to their storage sheds and garages are locked and that there is adequate lighting with motion detection.

Residents should also be extra vigilant and immediately report any suspicious persons, vehicles or unusual activity in their neighbourhood.

Anyone with information on these thefts should call the Lacombe Police Service at 403-782-3279. If they witness what appears to be a crime in progress, they should call 911.
