A Sylvan Lake man was recently found not guilty of a 2015 aggravated assault.
William Desjarlais, 34, had been charged following an incident at a residence in downtown Lacombe on Aug. 16, 2015.
The victim of the alleged assault had to be flown by STARS helicopter to an Edmonton hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
A trial for Desjarlais had been set for earlier this month.
