A room in a licensed cannabis production facility in Olds went up in flames Monday morning.
The Olds Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at Sundials Growers Inc. at 6102 48th Ave., just before 11 a.m.
The fire was contained to the room of origin, where extreme heat caused extensive damage.
The Olds department responded with two engines, a ladder truck and support vehicles. Didsbury Fire sent a firetruck as well. Fifteen firefighters were on scene, along with an EMS unit for medical standby.
The fire was extinguished quickly and there were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
