Olds firefighters battled a blaze that consumed a detached garage and a parked van on the weekend.
The Town of Olds fire department responded to a call about a fire in a detached garage on Hawthorn Way at just after 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Fire crews encountered a fully engaged structure fire, with the flames also burning a van parked next to the garage. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control — but some surrounding structures suffered minor radiant heat damage.
No damage estimate is yet available, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
