One person airlifted by STARS following two-vehicle collision near Rimbey

STARS airlifted one person to hospital after a two-vehicle collision near Rimbey on Wednesday.

Rimbey RCMP said they were called to the collision at Hwy 53 and Range Road 23, about two km north of Rimbey, about 4:30 p.m.

A northbound pickup on Range Road 23 collided with a westbound SUV. STARS was called to airlift the driver of the SUV to hospital. An adult passenger was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup and a child passenger were not injured.

RCMP said the pickup truck driver was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign.
