Albertan pleads guilty to child porn charges involving recording kids at pools

EDMONTON — A Fort McMurray man has pleaded guilty to child pornography crimes involving the recording of children at swimming pools in and around Edmonton.

Stephen Deighton is to be sentenced on three charges, including making and possessing child pornography.

The 44-year-old recorded children at five swimming pools between 2009 and 2010.

They included the World Water Park at West Edmonton Mall, Servus Place in St. Albert and Millennium Place in Sherwood Park.

Most of the victims were girls between the ages of three to 15 years old.
