Calgary woman named as the victim of B.C. rafting accident
VICTORIA — A Calgary woman has been identified as the victim of a rafting accident in the Kicking Horse River near Golden, B.C.
Fifty-year-old Mary Patricia Thibault was with a party of about 40 customers in a commercial whitewater rafting operation on Saturday when the raft she was in overturned.
Thibault, seven other passengers and their guide were all thrown into the river.
The BC Coroners’ Service says everyone was rescued quickly.
