School bus crashes into ditch near Taber

TABER — RCMP are investigating a school bus crash near Taber.

They say a First Student school bus was travelling westbound on Highway 3 around 8 a.m. Wednesday when the 29-year-old female driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the ditch.

The bus tipped onto its right side after it entered the ditch.

There were eight passengers ranging in age from one to seventeen years old, including the driver’s two children.

No one was injured in the crash but all were taken to hospital for precautionary reasons.

Police say speed and road conditions are considered factors in the crash.
