Premier Alison Redford’s reshuffled cabinet to be sworn in Friday
EDMONTON — Members of Alberta Premier Alison Redford’s reshuffled cabinet are to be sworn in today in a ceremony at Government House.
The swearing-in will take place a week after Redford announced changes that included dumping deputy premier Thomas Lukaszuk.
The ceremony was delayed after Redford was invited to join the Canadian delegation to South Africa for a memorial service for Nelson Mandela.
Redford shuffled more than half her ministers.
She also added more associate ministers, bringing the total number in cabinet to 30.
That figure is more than half the entire Progressive Conservative caucus.
