A local couple who met and married at a Red Deer Sobeys received an early Christmas gift from the Gaetz South grocery store.

In a special Christmas Eve celebration at the outlet, where the couple tied the knot earlier this year, Sobeys surprised Travis, a long-time employee, and Tara Dutkiewicz with a paid honeymoon to Banff or Canmore.

Sobeys also presented the newlyweds with a gift basket. Following the presentation, staff and customers were invited to join the couple for wedding cake and a little holiday cheer.

Earlier this month, Travis and Tara Dutkiewicz created an unforgettable moment at the Sobeys Gaetz South store in Red Deer, when the couple exchanged wedding vows in front of the lobster tank – the same spot where they met four years ago.
